What to Expect

Counselling is a collaborative, compassionate process—one that unfolds at your pace.

Creating a sense of safety is foundational to my work. Together, we begin by building a trusting therapeutic relationship where your voice, choice, and boundaries are always honored.

My approach is strength-based and client-centered. You remain the expert on your own experience. Sessions are guided by curiosity rather than judgment, and by respect for your nervous system’s wisdom.

I integrate a range of therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs, including:

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE) — a body-based approach that supports nervous system regulation and helps gently release stored stress and trauma

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work — a compassionate method of exploring protective and wounded parts of yourself to foster healing and inner harmony

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) — an evidence-based approach using eye movements to help process distressing memories and reduce their emotional intensity

  • Compassion-focused practices

  • Mindfulness-based approaches

  • Cognitive and emotion-based tools when helpful

Through this work, clients develop awareness of their nervous system, early trauma adaptations, and attachment patterns. They learn the practice of self-compassion—an essential skill that can reduce stress and anxiety, increase emotional resilience, and foster a deeper sense of safety within.

I am continually moved by the courage it takes to grow, heal, and transform. It would be an honour to walk beside you.

Many insurances cover RCC designations. Check with your insurance to make sure you are covered.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee, except in cases of emergency. This policy allows me to offer that time to another client who may be waiting for support.
